Sony Alpha 6700
The flagship crop-sensor Sony users have been waiting for. It borrows the AI autofocus from the A7R V and the video features of the FX30.
Sony a6700 Review: The King of Crop
Pros
- AI Autofocus chipset from A7R V

Cons

- Overheats in 4K 60p extended use
- EVF resolution is mediocre
Introduction
The Sony a6700 is the camera AP-C shooters have been waiting for since 2019. It finally brings the 26MP BSI sensor and the dedicated AI processing unit to the a6000 series body.
Autofocus
The autofocus is, in a word, telepathic. The new AI chip allows it to recognize humans, animals, birds, insects, cars, trains, and planes with uncanny accuracy. It is significantly better than the a6600.
Video
For content creators, the a6700 is a mini FX30. It shoots 4K 120p (with a crop) and 4K 60p oversampled from 6K. The inclusion of 10-bit 4:2:2 color means you can grade your footage heavily without it falling apart.
Verdict
If you don't need full-frame, the a6700 is arguably the best value camera on the market. It outperforms cameras costing twice as much in terms of autofocus reliability.
