Introduction
The Canon EOS R7 is the spiritual successor to the legendary 7D Mark II. It is designed for one thing: speed. If you shoot birds, wildlife, or sports on a budget, this is your camera.
Performance
The 32.5MP sensor provides "reach" that full-frame sensors can't match. When you crop in, you still have plenty of resolution. Combined with the 30fps electronic shutter, you rarely miss a moment.
Handling
The body feels robust and pro-grade. Weather sealing is excellent. The new rear dial around the joystick takes some getting used to, but it allows for one-handed operation.
Verdict
The R7 is a beast for telephoto work. While the lens selection for RF-S is still growing, you can adapt EF lenses flawlessly.
